The 22nd Annual Lorne Proteomics Symposium, organised by the Australasian Proteomics Society, was held from 2 - 5 February 2017 at the Mantra hotel and conference centre in Lorne, Victoria.

The Australasian Proteomics Society is a vibrant incorporated association and has a strong membership base. Proteomics is playing an increasingly important role in scientific research and it was the committee’s pleasure to have invited delegates to be part of this exciting meeting.

The Symposium presented the latest developments in Proteomics technologies and tools for the interpretation of Proteomics outputs, and their application toward answering fundamental questions in biology, and in clinical and translational medicine.

The visibility of trade was enhanced by having extended lunch sessions in the trade hall that incorporated poster sessions. Trade were welcomed at the Welcome Function, and the traditional trade mixer held in the exhibition hall extending delegate-trade interaction. The newly conceived Trivia night was held on the Saturday evening with the continued focus for providing attendees with a fun, relaxed networking experience with some great prizes up for grabs.

We look forward to seeing you again to make the 2018 Annual Lorne Proteomics Symposium a highly successful, rewarding and enjoyable conference.
