Welcome to the 18th Lorne Proteomics Symposium Website

The meeting will be held at the Mantra Lorne  
7th February - 10th February 2013

Dear Colleagues, 

On behalf of the Australasian Proteomics Society (APS) I welcome you to the 18th APS Annual Conference in Lorne. The conference venue – Mantra House, is located on the foreshore of a pleasant surf beach resort 80 km from Melbourne, Victoria, close to the National Parks of the Otway Ranges. Building on the success of past APS conferences, this ’Not to be missed’ event in the Australasian proteomics calendar once again presents a powerful scientific program led by top experts and educators in the field. 

This year we will share several speakers with the Australian New Zealand Mass Spectrometry Society which will emphasize the strong contribution of MS to current progress in the field of proteomics. As the discipline of proteomics relies heavily on the technologies that continue to drive this field, I am especially grateful for the continued participation and support of all of the conference exhibitors and sponsors.

During the conference, much exciting scientific research will be presented in the lectures, posters and workshops. A feature of our meeting is the presentation of 10-min pre-poster ‘Lightning Talks’ where researchers have the opportunity to highlight key features outlined in their posters. Also crucially important will be the one-on-one interactions that take place among attendees during the conference. Such networking is often the foundation of future collaborations and future employment/ post-graduate opportunities.I trust that the passion for proteomics and commitment to outstanding science at APS will help you achieve your individual goals.
